Historic Ludlow has much to offer its visitors, all within walking distance of Lower Broad Street. The Castle, main venue of the annual Shakespearian Festival, pottery and craft shops and lanes with numerous antique and bookshops.

There are fine period houses and intriguing gardens many of which are open for the public to view and share in their grandeur. Close to Ludlow are the towns of Church Stretton, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Much Wenlock and lots of lovely walking country. We are on the border of Wales and Herefordshire.
Nowadays too, Ludlow enjoys a wealth of really excellent eating places. In fact Ludlow has more Michelin Star restaurants within walking distance than anywhere outside London.
